The arts are a big part of Chincoteague Island’s allure. Artists, photographers and film makers are drawn here by the Island’s natural beauty. During the season, from early spring to late fall Chincoteague’s calendar is filled with events and attractions such as The Spring Film Series, 2nd Saturday Art Strolls, Acoustic Music Concerts, Festivals and visits by top performers making for a non-stop cultural scene.
Family Fun…
The whole family will find Chincoteague to be full of unique experiences, fun programs and memorable moments. Our Island offers easy access to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge where families enjoy miles of pristine beaches, hiking and bike trails and entertaining educational programs by the National Park Service.
Shop Main Street…
Located in the center of the Island right over the bridge you’ll find several blocks of unique specialty shops, boutiques, galleries and restaurants. Even the most insatiable shopper finds treasures they didn’t know that have to have. It’s fun too, often with live music performances at different shops and in-the-park concerts.
