Low Hinds- Manager of the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge
Growing concerns about the environment have made the subject of conservation a front and center issue in today’s national conversation. The Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge was founded in 1943 with a mission statement to protect wildlife. The Refuge offers a unique natural resting, feeding and nesting site for a suite of migratory birds that use the so-called Atlantic Flyway. This flyway is a sort of super highway for many species of birds that use this corridor between the Maritimes of Canada and the Gulf of Mexico.
Lou Hinds is the current Manager of the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge and is a clear and unwavering voice for that aforementioned mission statement. With 30 yrs. of hands on experience in the field Mr. Hinds is an articulate and passionate advocate for the Refuge and the wildlife that it serves.
